  1. My favorite protein bars are Kirkland Signature Protein Bars from Costco. I have looked at other bars and still haven't found one that is as good. There are 2 packs to choose from. One is Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk, and Cookies And Cream, which is the pack I like the best. The other is Chocolate Brownie, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. They each come with 10 bars of each flavor, a total of 20 bars per box. They retail in my state at just under $18. Which ends up being under a dollar per bar. I did have to get over the texture (which is a bit like eating clay with sand) but it's worth it to get over 20 grams of protein, under 5 net carbs, only 2 grams of sugar, and 15 grams of fiber (each flavor varies in the nutrition and ingredient departments). They are also certified Gluten-Free. Also, Costco has an awesome return policy so if you open the box and try them, but don't like them, they will let you return them for a full refund. I will post links below so you can find the ones I am writing about.

  2. Nice change of pace! I only wish I lived near a Trader Joe's. They're not in Hawaii yet! Constantly asking friends to bring me back stuff kind of sucks! Hehe, yes, TJ's does not mail order. Oh, Binchotan charcoal is highly purified, highly sought after and very pricy charcoal. It is processed to not give off much smoke and emissions like regular charcoal and is virtually hard pressed, so it's pretty dust free. They come in hollow cylinders and burn very hot. The reason they mentioned the cloth with Binchotan is to demonstrate how pure and clean their product is and supposedly, the Binchotan will take away odors as you wipe with the cloth. I don't know if it's true but Binchotan products are highly regarded in Japan.

  3. I'm originally from California where I grew up with Trader Joe's. That was my go to grocery store but when I moved to Arkansas I found they did not have them here. Now they're about to build their 1st one and I can't wait. I try to eat only organic healthy foods that don't have GMOs, BPA's, hydrogenated oils, canola, etc. too. Much of what humanity puts in their mouth is the cause of disease along with stress and lifestyle choices.
